  1. Panty Anarchy cosplay.
I love the character.  She is fucking fierce and feminist and the show is filled with all the best poop and sex jokes known to man.  I did this costume impulsively and without regards to my bodyshape haha.  I’m pretty average sized but I carry a lot of my weight on my got so showing my stomach tends to not be ideal.
But I like how this one turned out!

Maybelline “Confidence” ads. SO happy with how the colors in these turned out in printing and matting. To clarify, these are not real Maybelline ads, they were created for an advertising class.

EDIT: This is important. This means a lot to me. I legitimately believe a huge mistake was made today.

These ads were a part of my portfolio into the advanced advertising program at my school. About half of the people who apply get in. I got into the first two creative classes, intro and intermediate, and I was confident I would get into advanced… especially after I posted these on tumblr and in a matter of a few hours got THOUSANDS of notes with people saying that they loved them, most people even believing they were real advertisements and not something a 21 year old student made for class.

The only reservation I had was that my portfolio was being judged by two older men. Two men who have never worn makeup in their lives. Two men who would probably not even begin to understand what this campaign means. Two men who have never been under societal pressures to wear makeup, but then being told they’re insecure for doing so.

Those reservations might have been founded, as evidenced by the fact that I did not get in. I was rejected. I got over 5,500 notes on these ads in 24 hours, yet I was rejected for not being good enough. I can’t finish the program, and I have to figure out where to go from here.

Now to the good stuff: Tumblr is amazing. Everyone who has reblogged this, whether your comments were negative or positive, is amazing. I find it truly astounding that these have gotten so much attention. These, which are advertisements selling you something, something people inherently dislike. I am humbled, shocked, and grateful. This is the first time since I’ve been in advertising that I felt like I was doing something right… that maybe, just maybe, I could make it in this industry and make a positive change.

Those dreams were squashed today. I cried, and I complained. I’m angry — but not at myself like I thought I would be. I feel they made a mistake. I refuse to believe that I’m in the bottom 50% of the people who applied. I deserve to be in that program, and I know it. Thousands of people can’t be wrong that this is a good idea. An idea that MEANS something, and idea that resonates with many people. 2 older, conventional men can absolutely be wrong when it comes to judging what makes a good makeup ad.

Here’s where you come in. Let’s make them regret their decision. Reblog this, like it, comment on it, whatever. Let’s get this attention… so much attention that they can’t ignore it. While the decisions are most likely final, I want to make them think twice. I want them to look back, and believe that they fucked up. If it doesn’t even benefit me personally, I want them to think about how fair a panel of 2 male judges is when it comes to evaluating work done by women, for an audience that consists of predominantly people who identify as women.

So let’s do this. They fucked up; I deserved to be accepted. I know it, and I have a feeling you guys know it too.

Let it be known that Steven Moffat has no interest in bisexual visibility, and anybody who says anything else is clearly wrong. He says so himself.
also, look at how rude I’m being. how dare I question the great steven moffat.

moffat go sit the fuck down

PLS STOP BEING RUDE TO MOFFAT POOR BB

He’s such a douche. His complete inability to take criticism, even when it’s presented incredibly politely, is just absurd. Go and read the whole exchange on twitter, he doesn’t even address whats being said, not really.

Since when is insulting someone’s intelligence (“How is this hard to grasp?”) considered incredibly polite? Saying that you were not consciously contributing to bisexual visibility and saying that you are not interested in bisexual visibility are not the same thing. By all means, criticize Moffat, but criticize him for something he actually said.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s not the questioning part that’s rude, but the “How is this hard to grasp?” part.

Seriously, OP? As above commenters have said: “Saying that you were not consciously contributing to bisexual visibility and saying that you are not interested in bisexual visibility are not the same thing.”
Sexuality and representation are important in everyday life, but a) sexuality doesn’t define characters, b) I reckon it’s less relevant on a character-driven, family-oriented TV show where said characters are regularly in mortal danger from the laser beams of pepper pot-shaped aliens.
*PYRO OUT*

I really don’t get people sometimes. OP, are you actively trying to find reasons to hate Moffat or something? HE DOESN’T MEAN HE DOESN’T WANT TO CONTRIBUTE TO BISEXUAL VISIBILTY. He means that by saying River is bisexual (which, by the way, has been canon since Silence in the Library), he’s not trying to be all ‘OH LOOK AT ME I MAKE BISEXUAL CHARACTERS I AM SO GREAT I AM MAKING THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE NOW BOW BEFORE ME’, he was just answering someone’s question.
And like has been said above, you were being kinda rude. Your tone is pretty hostile. And again, we’ve known River was bisexual since Silence in the Library, so it’s not like he just randomly threw it in afterwards. We don’t have to be told she’s bisexual, we already knew that from that episode (and some other episodes as well).
I was gonna say that this is like the whole deal with Dumbledore being gay, because that was never explicitly stated in the books as well, although you could kind of tell from his relation with Grindelwald (Rowling even said she assumed people knew he was gay from that), but really, it’s not, seeing as River actually said she was bi. Well, not directly, but when someone says there’s only one person in the room they don’t fancy, and half of the people in that room are female… Yeah fandom, did you seriously not pick up on that?

I have to wonder if OP is even bi or just co-opting it to be mad at Moffat. River has been bi since her first appearance. Her sexuality is part of her but not all of her. And that’s imho, how you properly increase visibility. Not every sentence has to mention she’s bi, they don’t have to have a special episode about how River is bi and how she deals with it for her to be a bisexual character. And she’s not even a closted one.

And personally, as someone who identifies as bi, I would feel uncomfortable with Moffat, as a heterosexual man, looking to increase bisexual visibility of my sexuality when he doesn’t really experience it. That sort of thing can quickly become heavy handed and feel like co-option. I personally like how River is done, she fancies women, mentions her sexual exploits, bu her sexuality is only part of her and not her definition.
